Before Alexandra Sopelak started at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, she visited Disney World with one of her friends.  While discussing possible career paths, her friend said “if you like roller coasters, you should be an engineer.” 

Matt’s journey to Loureiro began at a career fair at UConn during his senior year in college. With a love for math and science growing up, he initially started his undergraduate degree as a biomedical engineering major, switching to environmental engineering after his first semester. 

Senior Project Manager Ryan Kelting believes that his main role at Loureiro is to be an indispensable partner for Loureiro’s clients.

Loureiro is pleased to acknowledge Engineer 1 Jonathan Synott, who recently passed his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam.

Cole started at Loureiro in February 2022 and works with a tight-knit group. The Missouri team, working within the St. Louis metro area, is focused on the operations of power plants throughout the state, engaged in what Cole calls “pump and treat” — treating ground water for contamination at power plants throughout the region.

Going into her junior year at Carrollton High School, Susan had plans on becoming a math teacher. It wasn’t until that career fair came to her school that the idea of becoming an engineer first entered her mind.

Frank Pasinski calls himself a design/build guy. Motivated by the concept of starting with nothing and turning it into something, Frank’s professional career has been built on seeking out and conquering challenges.

Most people assume you’re talking about a college student when they hear the word “intern.” But this summer Loureiro’s Apex, North Carolina office hired high school student Garrett Kuo to fill this role.
