If there’s one thing our clients know, it’s that transparency is at the core of everything we do. And in keeping with that tradition, we’ll be honest that when Loureiro Engineering Associates was founded in 1975, our original members had no intention of expanding into construction. We were a team of passionate, experienced engineers and environmental scientists committed to delivering exceptional services in this area, no matter what construction team worked alongside us.
But the more we built a reputation for doing just that, the more requests we received from our clients to manage all aspects of projects — including the construction. At the time, that meant establishing trusted partnerships with the right contractors to build. But as our clients filled our pipeline and the work evolved, we knew we had to evolve with it. In 1998, Loureiro completed our first vertical construction job as a full-service team.
Over those two decades, we learned that clients in the industrial, manufacturing, and government spaces don’t want to juggle separate entities with multiple points of contact. They want the reassurance that one phone call ensures that all disciplines are working cohesively with their best interest in mind. And we pride ourselves on our ability to respond to our clients’ needs — which is how and why Loureiro Contractors Inc. and Loureiro Building Construction (LBC) were born.

Loureiro’s organic growth set the foundation for a major move in our history when we acquired Pelletier Builders in 2020 — a decision fueled by the goal of gaining access to the very best talent in the market and elevating our capabilities in a powerful way.
